The Golden Cannoli Story
In 1976, Francesco Bono and Angelo Bresciani were running two Italian bakeries and selling their cannoli to other local bakeries and restaurants. By 1978 the demand for their cannoli shells was so great that they started Golden Cannoli Shells Company, Inc

Today, more than twenty years later, every cannoli is still hand-rolled and bakeries up and down the East Coast have come to know Golden Cannoli as the premium cannoli shell. Dolce Europa is proud to be one of the first distributors to introduce these great products to the West Coast.

What is a Cannoli
A Cannoli is a unique and delicious Italian pastry believed to have originated in Sicily around the first century A.D. It is a “tube-like” dessert that consists of a crispy fried pastry shell filled with Cannoli Cream (made from sweetened ricotta cheese). The Cannoli Shell is typically made from Flour, Sugar, Eggs, Vinegar, Salt, Vanilla, and Water.


Although the shells are traditionally filled with a variety of sweet and rich ricotta cheese recipes, many bakeries also fill them with yellow or chocolate custard. Each bakery, restaurant and coffee shop has their own recipe that gives their Cannoli a unique taste. We have brought in our own delicious and convenient Ricotta Filling.
