Return
Policy
In
order to provide consistent customer service
and product support, the following procedures
will be followed when customers request a
product return or credit for spoiled products.
Returns
All returns are at the discretion of Dolce
Europa and must be approved by management.
Each
returned product must be in an unbroken case
(no product pieces missing) with undamaged
packaging, allowing the product to be resold.
Credit for damaged products
All credits are issued at the discretion of
Dolce Europa.
Customers
requesting credit for a spoiled product must
provide the product for inspection.
If
an employee accepts the return of a spoiled
product to Dolce Europa, it does not constitute
a grant of credit.
When
a customer requests a credit, they need to
be questioned on their handling procedures;
storing, defrosting and serving. Storage temperatures
need to be verified.
The
majority of spoilage in the past has resulted
from inappropriate storage and handling. Frozen
products such as gelato or fruit ripieno need
to stored at 0 degrees or below. Melting will
occur above 5 degrees. Defrosted products
need to be stored between 35–45 degrees.
Most pastry products without cream will last
3–6 days stored between 40-45 degrees.
